Our Solar Project

Always on the forefront of the best agriculture practices, at Bowles Farm, we have an impressive solar project that we are quite proud of.

Spanning across a vast field, we placed over 30 solar panels to help power our farm. It was a massive job, but we knew it had to be done. Check out this cool time-lapsed video to see our progress in action.

Sustainability

These days, there is a lot of buzz around the word “sustainability”, but maybe not a lot of understanding of what it means.

Sustainability is defined as the ability to be sustained, supported, upheld, or confirmed. And in the environmental science of our beautiful farm, it’s the quality of not being harmful to the environment or depleting natural resources, and thereby supporting long-term ecological balance.

For us at Bowles Farming Company, sustainability is part of everything we do. As a farming family with over 150 years of history, we wholly understand what it takes to be sustainable. For us, it’s not just a catchphrase; it’s a way of life.
